During the 2021 Covid lockdown, I took the opportunity to purchase a much coveted digital drawing tablet and pencil. My tentative first steps into creating artwork through digital media have surprised and

entranced me. I consider my investigations and experiments preliminary, however the ease of transfer of traditional drawing and painting skills paved my way. Producing a self portrait by this method,

enabled reflections on my solo life in isolation, including the opportunities it afforded me to experiment and progress as an artist.
